Welcome on the wirOS project page - Last modified : 2006-06-16

The wirOS open source project aim at developing all the materials needed for the creation of an internet-based system such that you can retrieve your personal data and applicative environment from any terminal part of the system.

In its early stages the project will certainly appear more as a research project than as a convetionnal open source project.

This system should be based on a distributed filesystem, maybe grid based application, and a server administrated linux distribution to unify the different terminal's execution environement.
